Dr. Kathleen Voelsing is a doctoral prepared psychiatric nurse practitioner who specializes in evidence-based treatment of bipolar, depressive, anxiety, and psychotic disorders for patients 16 years and up. She has substantial experience with individuals struggling with addiction, trauma issues, eating disorders, and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Kathleen has considerable experience treating veterans and first responders. She is welcoming to LGBTQ+ and all races and religions. Extensively trained in psychiatric medication management, she targets maximal benefit with the minimal amount of medication. Offering comprehensive, holistic, and personalized treatment plans, Kathleen provides a thoughtful approach to patient care.
The goal is not to overload anyone with medicine but to work together to help them feel their best. Kathleen believes “the best medicine is ultimately good diet, exercise, quality sleep, interactions with supportive people, and doing something nice for someone else.” Also, talk therapy can work wonders in changing negative thinking patterns.
